The Foundation Conference

ISMMUN'24 marked the beginning of a new era for Model United Nations in Libya

A Historic Beginning

ISMMUN'24 launched as the inaugural Model United Nations conference organized by the International School of Martyrs. This foundational event brought together 40 participants from within the ISM community, with 30 students serving as delegates for three intensive days of diplomatic engagement.

The conference featured 2 carefully selected committees - SOCHUM (Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee) and UN Women - addressing critical social and humanitarian challenges. Each committee provided delegates with opportunities to engage in meaningful debate, develop diplomatic skills, and explore complex global issues affecting women and social development.

ISMMUN'24 established the foundation and standards within the ISM community that would later inspire the expanded ISMMUN'25, proving that ISM students were ready to engage with international affairs and diplomatic processes at a high academic level.
